Share: The Lancers lined up at their very own 3-yard line in a 21-21 ball game with six minutes remaining left in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Kade Wentz scrambled on second down, almost running into his own lineman, and bought enough time to find his running back, Miles Anderson, running free down the left sideline. Follow:
Lancers exact revenge, keep bowl dreams alive
Share: Quarterback Kade Wentz faked the handoff to Miles Anderson, took three steps back, and threw a deep rainbow to Wheeler Smith. With nobody in front of him, Smith pranced from one hash to the other avoiding the last two Grossmont Griffin defenders for the touchdown. The true conspiracy happened when the only defender in good position was beguiled into tackling Hartfield, the man without the ball. Follow:
Despite blowout victory, Lancers expect more from themselves
Share: For the second time this season, the Lancers women’s soccer team blew away their opponent, East Los Angeles College, scoring 12 goals in the process, and finishing with a clean sheet. They scored the most goals for the team in over 23 years. Normally a team would have celebrated after it broke a record that stood for over two decades, but this team is still trying to find their way, and they’ve suffered some agonizing defeats the past four matchups.
