Former student in court again on murder charge

Former PCC nursing student Isaac Campbell, charged in the killing of another student, appeared at the Alhambra courthouse on Wednesday where a Dec. 16 pre-trial hearing date was set.Extra time is necessary in order to “clear the witnesses,” according Deputy District Attorney Steve Ipson, prosecutor in the case.

In the past year, the Courier has served its purpose as a student newspaper, but it seems that things might change. Your editorial (“Class size increase a good compromise”, Oct. 7) on the class size increase is just one of many which glorify the new leadership at PCC.

Survey results show faculty not satisfied with campus technology

PCC faculty expressed dissatisfaction with some of the services offered online from PCC that include registration, adds and drops, and PCC email, but appeared to be more satisfied with other services, according to the results of a technology survey published in September.

Cross country fifth in SCC

Both the Lancers’ men’s and women’s cross-country teams came in fifth at the South Coast Conference Championships at Mt. San Antonio College on Friday, but individual performances led to top rankings for runners Tracee van der Wyk and Will Zentmyer.

Homecoming court challenges gender roles

In a gender reversal, Student Trustee Nolan Pack won Homecoming Queen, and Feminist Club member Angela Lo won King at half time during the Homecoming football game Saturday.The rest of the Homecoming court included Daniel Perea, Nick Shauer, and Aaron Mendoza for princes.

Concerns about U Building plans voiced at forum

Occupants of the U building voiced their concerns about the options presented by administrators at a town-hall forum on Tuesday in the Vosloh Forum. The options include a possible demolition, rehabilitation of the building using footholds, and would involve moving the occupants into temporary buildings while construction occurred.
