Two framed photographs sat on a shelf in the office of PCC Counselor Patty D’Orange-Martin.

Locked between the Sculpture Garden and a parking lot, many students pass by the Jameson amphitheater and often hear casually performed music. But few students take the time to actually enter and enjoy the amphitheater’s interior and visually take pleasure in the unhurried environment.

When the first version of “Rock Band” was released in 2007, it changed the gaming community by turning casual gamers into living room rock stars, who could sing, play guitar or drums and live out their rock fantasies.

A night of music and costumes was on tap for the crowd that attended the PCC Orchestra Halloween Concert on Saturday night in Sexson Auditorium.Under the direction of Jo Raquel Stoup and Robin Sharp, the orchestra, comprised of 70 members, performed a selection of six songs centered on the theme of a masquerade.
