Deadpool 2: Wasn’t that Thanos?

Share: Profanity Warning: I say fuck. I am a huge Deadpool fan, as a lot of people who like comic book superheroes are. There’s something about his 4th-wall-breaking, dark and unpredictable humor that makes him such a fun character. So when I heard that there was going to be a Deadpool movie two years ago, I was ecstatic. And for good reason; that movie was amazing. Ryan Reynolds captured the character perfectly, unlike his portrayal in the 2008 “X-men Origins: Wolverine.” Fuck that movie. But …

Despite only having 5 players, the Warriors put up a decent fight, but were unable to overthrow the currently undefeated Lancers. The Lancers were able to keep the Warriors from winning all but a single match in the second game. This kept the Lancers in the top spot of the division to compete in the the …

‘Ready Player One’: A video game movie done right

Share: Movies based around video games are usually prone to a major ratings and box office flop. With movies like “Need for Speed”, the “Tomb Raider” movies and all of the “Resident Evil” movies, it seems like the genre is cursed, with only a single exception of “Wreck It Ralph.” However, Steven Spielberg’s “Ready Player One”, based on the book of the same name by Ernest Cline, means to remove that curse and make a great video game movie. And overall, it does. Follow:

A satellite will alleviate PCC’s main campus

Share: The PCC main campus, especially in the early weeks of the semester, is flooded with people. And as the school has seen, that makes parking a nightmare. Classes are also limited because there are only so many available classes. For some people, the drive to PCC is a bit of a distance. A new satellite campus opening up at the John Muir High School for both high school and college students hopes to solve those problems, but will it? I argue that yes, it …

‘Annihilation’: Elevated visuals through practical effects

Share: More recently, science-fiction thrillers have revolved around common themes: space, the future, or a virtual world. “Annihilation” does not take that route at all. Although there are no real markers to show that it takes place in any time period, it is easy to infer that it takes place within the decade. Just this alone sets the film apart from many other fantasy and sci-fi thrillers of today. While having its flaws, “Annihilation”, written and directed by Alex Garland and adopted from Jeff VanderMeer’s …
