Kaiser’s football playing dream cannot be stopped

Veteran of the month: Joseph Amador
Share: Joseph Amador, a history major, served four years in the Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman also known as “mag rats.” His job description involved building bombs and rockets, while also maintaining torpedoes, aerial mines and missiles. Spending most of his time on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72 below the water line in the ship, he was unable to see the light of day for long periods of time. Follow:

Maher’s return as head coach comes with intent to heal wounds
Share: Whether the football players like it or not, Thomas Maher is returning to PCC as the new football head coach, but he faces an uphill battle on and off the field. Maher will replace current head coach Thom Kaumeyer, who many players fought to keep last Wednesday at the Board of Trustees meeting. Community celebrates Black History Month with parade and festival
Despite the hot weather Saturday, the Pasadena community turned out for the 34th annual Black History Parade and Festival, which featured food trucks, music and PCC students and administrators.
As one of the oldest and longest parades for Black History Month in the U.S., the Black History Celebration Planning Committee wanted to honor past leaders of the community who continue to inspire a new generation of future leaders.
