Volleyball’s learning experience after facing elite teams

Last weekend the Lancers attended the 32nd San Diego Mesa Invitational where they finished 1-2. Although they went up against dominant teams from the Pacific Coast Conference, the Lancers kept a competitive momentum.

Men’s soccer team off to an unbeaten streak

The Lancers visited an in-form Antelope Valley team (2-0) searching for a win after drawing their last match. PCC got the job done in style, scoring two second half goals and blanking their opponent with 4 key saves from goalkeeper Andrew Espinoza.

Men’s soccer team upheld by Southwestern

The Lancers men’s soccer team opened pre-season against Southwestern College on Friday, where the score was held 2-2 after a mix up between the Lancers’ center-back and goalkeeper allowed SWC to tie within the last minutes of a hotly contested match.

After struggling in the beginning of the match, the Lancers won the battle against East Los Angeles College (ELAC) Thursday evening with major clutch hits. PCC is now 4-1 in SCC North and just one game behind first place Mt. SAC.

The Lancers’ baseball team opened conference with back-to-back losses to El Camino College (ECC). Although Thursday’s game came close with final score 4-3, Saturday’s game was more upsetting with a 3-9 loss.

On Friday June 14th, from 9 to 1pm outside studios across Los Angeles, members of SAG-AFTRA and the WGA took to the streets for the first day of a historic double strike. This marked the 1st day of picketing for striking actors, and the 73rd day for members of the Writer's Guild. 

The picket line outside Netflix's Sunset Blvd. studio was described by WGAW strike captain Henry Gammill as, "a very friendly riot."
