Trump’s low gas price promise is running on fumes

Share: As gas prices continue to soar to absurd amounts, a false promise made during the 2024 election cycle is inevitably being broken. That promise came from the Trump administration, which declared that if elected, it would lower prices. Well, Trump has done the complete opposite, getting involved in a war that America should not have gotten involved with. This contributed to the outrageous spike in gas prices to an average of $4 nationally while California has surpassed $6 per gallon, according to AAA Gas …

Trump’s endorsement of Jake Paul continues America’s circus

Share: Donald Trump endorsed YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul at a rally that leaned more towards amusement than professionalism. The announcement was confusing, as throughout Paul’s many careers, he’d never mentioned becoming a political figure, yet his history of attention-seeking doesn’t make his political turn a surprise. The spectacle was highlighted by Trump’s focus on Paul’s boxing career rather than explaining why he received an endorsement. It reflects a bigger shift in politics, now being viewed more as entertainment rather than improving the country. This administration is …

And the cheers grew louder as Michael B Jordan walked on screen in a 1930s styled outfit.  “I heard about the …

PCC against ICE: ‘It’s not too late to join the fight’

Making cents of the penny termination decision

Share: On Nov 12, the Secretary of the Treasury decided to stop the 232-year production of pennies after determining the rising cost of production outweighs their value. The decision comes from an increase in the costs of materials, making it go from a previous cost of 1.42 cents to now 3.69 cents to create one penny. With this cancellation, the Mint expects to save approximately $56 million per year in production savings. The announcement of the discontinuation of the penny coincided with the Mint hosting …

Dear Netflix: Longer breaks don’t build hype, your audience does

Share: Recently, the Duffer brothers defended the long wait for the next season of Stranger Things, saying they “like the buildup.” That idea made sense when the second season followed a year after an amazing first season with its unique characters and storytelling. However, using hype to justify longer gaps between seasons shows how out of touch they are with their audience.  Netflix thinks breaks like this boost viewership and build hype, but it makes people forget their show even exists after a long, unnecessary …
