America’s Got Talent Finalist Performs at the Pasadena Hilton
Share: Taylor Matthews, the finalist of the talent competition America’s Got Talent, made his last hotel party tour appearance at the Hilton Pasadena on the night of January 24th. Opening for the singer/songwriter was Kyle Reynolds, an artist whom Matthews has been touring and collaborating with recently. The concert featured singles of off Matthews’ new and older albums, such as “Do What You Want To” and “Head Over Feeling.” Follow:
New art showcased in the Computer Learning Center
Share: Coming home from middle school, if she would notice her mom working on an art piece, it would be a special and rare moment for her as a daughter because of her mom’s busy schedule that prevented her from doing art on a daily basis. In this case, she would look over her mom’s shoulder and see her mom working on a Stippling piece in the making, which is a moment she would cherish and what inspired her to do art herself. Follow:
From Blood Elves to saving the Queen
Share: A beautiful and elaborate Queen Elizabeth gown sat amidst the piles of fabrics, needles and sewing machines. The room wasn’t dusty but had a very cluttered feel and yet nothing felt out of place. The buzz of sewing machines filled the room as fashion students worked on individual garments. The Queen Elizabeth costume was created by fashion design and historical costume making major Lauren Ward and recently won first place and “Best in Show” at the 2014 L.A. County Fair. Follow:

ELAC holds off Lady Lancers in tense final minutes
The women’s basketball team almost pulled off a stunning comeback win at the Hutto-Patterson gymnasium on Wednesday against their crosstown rivals East LA CC Huskies, who prevailed 67-62 due to a dominating defensive performance that forced the Lady Lancers to commit way too many costly errors.
Turnovers haunt men’s basketball
The Lancers’ men’s basketball team dropped another close home game Wednesday evening, losing 85-82 against East Los Angeles College. The tough defeat drops the Lancers to 11-14 on the season and likely ends the their chances of qualifying for the team’s second consecutive postseason appearance.
Sculpting class provides artistic stepping-stone

A five-year veteran of nude modeling, Rosseaux has posed for community colleges and art programs all over Southern California. Originally a seller of vintage clothes, nude modeling was a hobby that supplied extra income. He said he’s even pulled 9 straight hours in a single night. Follow:
