With proposed state budget cuts in sight atop the numerous cuts already enacted, PCC Foundation has launched a new approach to raising money. Earlier this month the school commenced its’ “Raise Your Hand for PCC” campaign, which seeks donations from the school’s community, faculty and alumni in accordance with the Educational Master Plan.

Track & field teams show no sign of slowing
Lancer track and field teams are making their way into the new season geared for what is sure to be an even faster-paced season then last year, despite injuries and the loss of previously crucial members.After the men’s team ended the 2010 year off as 31st in State and 21st in Southern California, and the women’s ended 20th in State and 15th in Southern, the teams continue to have high expectations for themselves.
Coach confident in new swim team members
Women’s swim team Coach Terry Stoddard has much to smile about. Despite the loss of 2010 SCC Women’s Diver of the Year, Merry Sanders, 2009 SCC 200 Free Relay Champion team member Jade Wilia as well as Cindy Huynh who transferred out, this year’s incoming freshman women swimmers promise to be strong contenders this spring.
