On Saturday, the Lancers traveled to College of the Desert to kick off their 2019 season in which their defense held the Roadrunners to negative rushing yards for the entire game and sacked the quarterback 9 times helping the Lancers to win 22-13.
On Friday, Aug. 30 the Lancers kicked off their 2019 campaign at the Ventura Invitational held at Arroyo Verde Park in which the men’s Cross Country team placed fourth overall and the women’s team was unable to place due to not having enough eligible participants available to race.
When Xavier Kai DuBose appears, he’s cool and collected with a massive backpack on his back and a skateboard in his hand. He’s friendly; he feels familiar. After lancing the Roadrunners at home on Wednesday, the Lancers poached the Panthers on their own court Friday to win their second consecutive South Coast Conference (SCC) North Division championship lead by head coach Mike Terrill, who holds two conference titles in just three seasons.
The Lancers took home their fourth South Coast Conference victory of the season Wednesday evening after defeating East Los Angeles College in a three set match.
