Plans for U Building still at standstill

After two years of not knowing what to do with it, the college has finally received funding from the state to replace the U Building, but has yet to decide if it will be demolished, according to acting Superintendent-President Robert Miller.

The Board of Trustees has appointed Former Senior Vice President Robert Miller as acting-superintendent/president of PCC while they search for a new president following the retirement of past president Mark Rocha.

Rocha receives more than $400,000 in severance pay

President Mark Rocha will receive $403,826, plus up to $16,000 in “reasonable” legal expenses from the District, according to a severance package agreement released by the college.

School in violation of state educational code

After surveying other near by community colleges, PCC found that it is violating the California Educational Code by not offering financial aid students reduced priced parking permits, according to Senior Vice President Robert Miller.

Rocha not offered college presidency in New York

President Mark Rocha was not offered the position of president at Kingsborough Community College (KCC) in Brooklyn, New York, which he applied for earlier this year. The position went to Farley Herzek who is currently serving as interim president of Los Angeles Harbor College, according to KCC officials.
