Lavender and Honey: Experience gourmet in a closet
Share: Standing next to maple glazed bacon doughnuts underneath a homey black chalkboard menu (complete with white-chalk cursive), I had no choice but to fall in love with Lavender and Honey, an espresso bar in Pasadena. But before lunch was over I knew we would never last. Follow:
Day N Night: Hip-Hop festival leaves Angels Stadium turnt
Share: Pulsating bass and the smell of beer consumed me as soon as I entered Angels Stadium in Anaheim last weekend. Immersed in the rhythmic beats and syncopated rap verses, Day N Night festival, presented by Revolt and sponsored by Postmates, delivered a rap and hip-hop three-day extravaganza worthy of Coachella status. Wonder Woman: Best DC Movie Yet

La banca en la avenida 42
Share: Just off of Figueroa Street in Highland Park sits Las Banquitas off to the side of the road right before Ave 42. Las Banquitas is spanish for “the benches,” something that would be beneficial for sitting when eating a meal. Dead men tell one last tale
Share: Jerry Bruckheimer’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is the last of the pirates movies, but certainly the best one since the original. Set 9 years after the events of the last movie, we see many familiar faces reprise their roles from the previous films such as Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush. Newcomers Javier Bardem is the vengeful ghost Salazar, Brenton Thwaites as Henry Turner and Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth. Follow:
