Despite college enrollment more than doubling nationally since 1971, PCC’s enrollment has decreased due to multiple factors, including low unemployment rates, rising housing costs and a tense political climate for undocumented students.

Over 27,000 students are currently attending PCC this semester, yet the amount of students enrolled in classes is lower compared to that of last fall, leaving the administration to look for an explanation.
New full-time hires call PCC home
At the end of the spring semester, the Board of Trustees hired a new batch of full-time faculty members, deans, and counselors. In addition, changes in the learning model from ‘schools’ to ‘divisions’ have immediately taken effect. There are close to 60 faculty members that currently hold positions with the school, including five deans, seven counselors, and three executives – all holding permanent positions.
