Softball ace hangs up cleats to pursue bigger goals

The smell of freshly mowed grass is blown from the surrounding field into the dugout, where nervous, sweaty palms are rampant and eager shoes tap anxiously on the dusty ground. Lancers earn playoff spot despite dramatic loss

In the final game of the regular season last weekend, the Lancers failed to maintain a two-run lead in the final inning allowing Moorpark to hand them a crushing 6-5 defeat; regardless, the Lancers finished the season in second place in the SCC North, good enough for a spot in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. 12th seeded PCC  will be facing Santiago Canyon this Friday in a three game series to determine who will advance into round two of the playoffs. The Lancers proved their prowess on the field Friday winning both sides of a doubleheader to extend their win streak to nine games. The wins came against Glendale City College and Golden West College at Robinson Park on a sweltering spring day.

Lancers Celebrate 25th Win with Landslide Victory

The Lancers softball team celebrated their 25th win through a landslide 11-0 blowout against the LA Harbor College Seahawks on Wednesday. The Lancers ended the season second place (9-3; 25-13-1 overall) in their conference behind undefeated rival Mt. Sac.
