Gov. Jerry Brown apparently knows what’s best for the helpless people of California, signing into law a plethora of new legislation that will further add to the growing “Nanny State” that already exists in California.
There is a simple reason why PCC became a smoke-free campus: concern for everyone’s health. Tobacco smoking has been studied for more than a decade and is considered to be one of the leading causes of death.
“We just want to be healthier,” says Jo Buczko co-chair of the health and safety committee here on campus, “and if you ever walked behind a smoker you would know that it’s uncomfortable.”
