A tired but resilient Lancers defense had remained on the field for a little over seven minutes. On the other side of the ball, Mt. San Jacinto Eagles were hopeful that they could score the equalizer, down 21-14 in the third quarter. Standing with hands on knees, Freshman middle Danielle Johnson could only watch Thursday night with her team (PCC) up 22-21 in the second set. If the Lancers could close it out, they would be up two sets to none, otherwise, the match would be tied at a set a piece.
After a rough outing versus Mt. San Jacinto on Feb. 20, the men’s baseball team rebounded nicely with an 8-5 win over Ventura last Thursday before losing in dramatic fashion to Rio Hondo 3-2 over the weekend.
The PCC women’s soccer team took to the road Friday, traveling to Moorpark College and leaving with a 1-1 draw. Friday’s draw was the fourth of six road games to start the 2014-15 season.
