International students to pay more at PCC

Share: In a unanimous vote, PCC’s Board of Trustees approved an update in tuition fees for non-resident students in the upcoming academic year, according to their meeting in February.  Non-resident students include international students and out of state students. International students’ tuition increases yet resources remain scarce

Share: International students are in pursuit of better resources as a result of the Board of Trustees’ decision in January to raise their tuition cost-per-unit. At their Jan. 26 meeting, the Board of Trustees approved a raise in international students’ tuition cost-per-unit from $234 to $266. This price would be in combination with the standard enrollment fee of $46 per unit. International students must take a minimum of 12 units per semester in order to keep their student status at PCC. PCC: a sanctuary for international students

Share: Walking around this campus, one can bump into many students running late to class, sitting down underneath trees that offer a cool shade, or an international student. Except one wouldn’t necessarily know if they were an international student, not unless you asked. There are many reasons why PCC is wonderful. It is a great stepping stone for anyone wanting to transfer to celebrated universities, but it also has a diverse student body that encompasses the spirit of belonging to a supporting community.
