Freshman duo leads women’s basketball to OT win

In a see-sawing battle, the women’s basketball team overcame a top 10 state ranked team for the first time this season by defeating the El Camino Warriors in a thrilling 70-66 overtime victory in a non-conference game at Hutto-Pattinson gym.

Women’s basketball lose second straight conference game

The stage was set for arguably one of the games of the conference season, with the No. 18 ranked Lancers hoping to cause an upset and also wanting to atone for a thrilling one-point overtime loss to East LA College in their previous conference match-up on January 10. Both teams showed in their intense pre-game huddles this wasn’t just another game.

Women’s volleyball optimistic despite missing playoffs

With the departure of five sophomores from last season’s squad and an early season-ending injury to the team’s lone returning sophomore, Saige Spence, the Lancers finished the season with a 5-16 overall record, good for sixth place in the South Coast Conference.

Freshman-heavy men’s soccer produces mediocre season

The Lancers fielded 19 freshman in their 24-man squad, which exposed these 18 year olds against more seasoned, stronger and tactically astute 22 and 23-year-old opposition. According to head coach Edgar Manvelyan, this was the major reason for his team’s displeasing season.
