Supposed commencement speaker Eric Walsh, Pasadena’s Director of Public Health, has cancelled his plans to speak at the Spring 2014 graduation, according to a statement released by the District this afternoon after questions were raised about whether or not he was ever publicly board-approved to be the speaker in the first place.

PCC Courier Twitter account hacked
Share: The PCC Courier Twitter account was hacked on early Monday morning. Lewd messages and images were posted without permission and information and images were changed on the account as well. The Twitter account feeds directly to the paper’s website, where the tweets were up for approximately an hour. The tweets were discovered around 9:45 am and were immediately deleted. Follow:
Freeway Crash Leaves 2 Injured and Rail Services Suspended
A fiery collision on the 210 freeway between two big rigs causing damage to railway lines and power systems has left all eastbound lanes closed and shut down all Metro service between Lake Ave. and Sierra Madre Villa Stations until further notice, according to the California Highway Patrol.

AS Talks Accreditation and GM Building Climate
Following the disappointment in the change of speaker for the upcoming commencement ceremony, the Associated Students board shifted gears to discussing matters with accreditation and getting a better handle on how to deal with the concerns some students may have in regards to the GM building.
