Oscar nominated documentary “Exit Through the Gift Shop” follows Thierry Guetta’s obsession with filming everything in his daily life and eventually focusing his talent filming graffiti artists. He hangs around the likes of Sheppard Fairey who is known for his Obey logo and the Obama “Hope” posters.

University Day guides transfers

Admissions counselors and representatives from several universities lined the Quad on Wednesday, March 2, to meet with PCC students on University Day.Over 35 different UC, CSU, and a few out-of-state universities, both public and private were represented and ready to hand out information to students stopping by their booths to find out about the many different programs they have to offer.

Summer study trip to central Europe planned

Evening strolls through the old town of Prague, visits through imperial palaces, and trekking to see the former Berlin Wall are a few escapades that students can venture off to this summer with PCC’s study abroad program from August 10 through 23.In the summer session, the study abroad program is offering a trip to Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic for a 14-day excursion.

Student president starts blog

Associated Students President Jamie Hammond recently started a blog for anyone interested in happenings on campus.Hammond started the blog as a means to get information out to the student body.”I’ve always wanted to communicate with students and I always felt very helpless at not being able to reach the students at large,” said Hammond.

Laptops available for loan in Wi-Fi lounge

A computer is an important part of every student’s life. Students use computers to do research and homework. There are already various locations throughout campus for students to use a computer, including labs in the D Building and the Library. Now, the Associated Students is also offering these services to students who don’t have a computer to bring to school.

Limited involvement in Libya enough

Violence and civil unrest proceed in Libya as Colonel Muammar Qaddafi directs a brutal regime in efforts to regain his tyrannical authority. Anti-governmental protests have escalated to the likes of a civil war. Thousands flee the country in a massive exodus creating strain on surrounding countries.
