Library study rooms fill up quickly

Finding a place to study on campus can be hard during the last month of school, especially for group projects. Ideally, students want to use a private study room in the library, but getting one when everybody wants one can be a problem.According to Patty Johnson, librarian, “These rooms are very popular; the best time to come would be on a Friday or Saturday morning,” she said.

State budget revise raises questions

The state may allocate $7 million to PCC this year – or, community colleges may suffer additional cuts and the per-unit fee could be raised beyond the proposed 38 percent increase to $36, said Dan Troy, the Vice Chancellor for Fiscal Policy at the Chancellor’s Office of the California Community Colleges.

Mixer held for new passport program

The PCC Community Business Center (CBC) celebrated and promoted its passport application acceptance program with a lunch and mixer on May 19.”We’ve just been overwhelmed by the passion and enthusiasm PCC has been bringing to this program,” said Howard Josephs, customer service manager of the Los Angeles Passport Agency.
