Rocha not offered college presidency in New York

President Mark Rocha was not offered the position of president at Kingsborough Community College (KCC) in Brooklyn, New York, which he applied for earlier this year. The position went to Farley Herzek who is currently serving as interim president of Los Angeles Harbor College, according to KCC officials.

Student Trustee Simon Fraser sent a scathing email to the Board of Trustees on Friday detailing his involvement in the commencement debacle and categorically denying that the formal invitation he sent to Academy Award winner and PCC alumnus Dustin Lance Black to be this year’s commencement speaker, was without college approval.

OP-ED: Transgender suicide attempts are shockingly high

We as a society must find a better way to reach out to our transgender citizens. Transgender people already deal with societal discrimination and dismissal from family members based on their gender identities, but apparently they must also deal with suicide. The largest study of transgender people to date was recently released with shocking numbers.

PCC hosted a Mariachi Banda and Mexican Ballet fol PCC hosted a Mariachi Banda and Mexican Ballet folklorico to educate others on Mexican Culture. Students and faculty spent an hour immersed in dance and music out in the quad! 🇲🇽💃🏽
