Mobile pantry to provide students with fresh food

The L.A. Regional Food Bank’s mobile pantry is scheduled to make one more appearance to the campus community today from noon to 2 p.m. at Lancer’s Pass. With today being the last time to appear, PCC’s contract with the company will end as well, since the deal was to last for one academic year. The plan from Special Services is to work on renewing the contract so they can keep the mobile pantry serving the students into next year, but nothing has happened yet. “We’re …

The birds, and the bees, and the stds

Well, I am not buying it. I have reviewed my finances, weighed the options, and I am certain I cannot make the purchase. On May 7, 2018, the Los Angeles Times published a story titled, STDs in L.A. In contrast to the impeccable image PCC intends to portray, this academic year alone, there has been a failed presidential search, outrage among minority groups on campus, and recent investigative reporting by the Courier uncovering Tychicus Yu, vice president and corporate chef of …

And now we have the second anthology film, “Solo,” the origin story of Han Solo. The idea of the film was risky in itself, since characters in the film have already been portrayed by actors in the original trilogy, with Han Solo having been played by Harrison Ford and …
