With today’s health care costs, unemployment rates and the price of education, the prospects of starting a family and having kids should be left until the economy is stable once again.

The sheer impossibility of eclectic people coming together at a rave is in itself remarkable. Having that rave be held on a Friday night only increases the number of attendees. But when that Friday night happens to fall on Halloween, well, you’re in for a night of rampant, intentional absurdity.

It was an amusing night full of music and satirical performances for the 170 people who attended “A Patriotic Halloween Concert” on Saturday in the Sexson Auditorium. This two-fold concert blended patriotic and Halloween themes, making this ensemble a colorful one.

The strobe light shines heavily on your face. The microphone gripped tightly in one sweaty hand, with the other one caressing invisible notes in the air. You let out a squeal of excitement as the audience applauds the music solo that has just been performed.
