Metro rapid transit: A potential solution for PCC commuters
At last Wednesday’s Associated Students meeting, representatives from Metro shared a brief proposal of a future 18-mile bus transit system called Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) that would link North Hollywood to PCC.
$1.2 million saved thanks to Zero Textbook Cost classes
Thanks to the Zero-Textbook Cost (ZTC) option classes brought to PCC by psychology professor Julie Kiotas and developed by the Open Education Resources (OER) committee, the college has saved students upwards of $1.2 million.
Associated Students lobby Congress for fair financial aid
The Associated Students Lobby Committee (ASLC) recently traveled to Washington D.C. to lobby on behalf of the PCC student body. The trip took place on March 29, 2019 through April 2, 2019. The committee lobbied a total of six different bills to the members of Congress.
