Sushi Stop: a mediocre and unsatisfiable stop for fish
Share: I am a practitioner in sushi appreciation. My diet consists of vegetables and fish, so yeah I take a good sushi roll, pretty damn seriously. So I could hardly contain my excitement when I found Sushi Stop, a sushi restaurant in Old Town Pasadena that serves all plates for the small price of $3.25. Since my wallet is a barren wasteland after I splurge on regular, super high priced sushi, a roll for $3.25 was music to my poor college student ears. Follow:
‘Stop The Genocide’: Locals protest Pasadena’s police brutality
Share: Last Saturday morning, local activist groups held a protest against police brutality with Pasadenans and Altadenans at a Mobil gas station in Altadena. The protest was sparked by the murder of Stephon Clark who was gunned down by police officers while in his own backyard. The groups that participated were the Pasadenans and Altadenans Against Police Violence, Refuse Fascism and other local activists. The protest was held at the same gas station that Christopher Ballew was beaten by Pasadena Police on Nov. 9, 2017. …

QQ Kopitiam: Worth the milk tea, but not the food
Share: In the “626” area, especially when there’s a diverse amount of culture instilled in Southern California, the selection of cuisines is endless for the food partisans. The never-ending pop-ups of boba cafes, to restaurants offering various ethnic dishes, defines the sunny state to be memorable for its fair share of Asian food.
