As the Courier’s Editor-In-Chief, it’s my job to oversee the content of our publication and manage our team of student writers and editors. I started writing for the Courier in the fall of 2023 and went on to manage the social media team the following spring. I have reported and produced short video stories such as “What’s up with the music in Parking Lot 5?” and develop weekly news report wraps for social media that highlighted our student reporting. I was awarded best broadcast news show by JACC in 2024.
Outside of the Courier, I have fellowed at NPR’s Next Gen Radio, EdSource’s Student Journalism Corps, and recently finished a year long internship at LAist.
In a past life, I was a professional actor in Seattle where I received a bachelors in fine arts. Ironically, it took me moving to Los Angeles and hearing NPR segments in traffic to realize those are the stories I always wanted to tell.
