After quickly going two goals down, the Lancer men’s soccer team rallied back, striking two goals to level the score by the end of the first half. But in the second half the Rio Hondo Roadrunners scored two more unanswered goals, to beat the Lancers 2-4 in their last pre-season game at Rio Hondo on Sept. 20.
Men’s soccer fails to get on the scoreboard
The Lancers were unable to capitalize on their multitude of scoring chances in a 1-0 loss to the College of the Desert Roadrunners at Robinson Stadium on Saturday. Other than the late game controversy involving the Roadrunners’ coach, the game was in PCC’s hands, but they failed to turn their solid play into a positive result.
Football team gets hammered in 3rd loss
The Saturday night lights were on at Robinson Stadium and the crowd was cheering as Quarterback Justin Posthuma returned from his injury, but unlike the lights, the Lancers were unable to shine. The El Camino College Warrior sliced through PCC with a winning score of 46-27 on Saturday.
Water polo falls short, despite last minute push
The women’s water polo team lost to Long Beach City College on Sept. 12 at the Aquatic Center. Despite a well played game, the Lancers went down 6-7.
2 goals, 6 yellow cards, but still no win for men’s soccer
“Blow the whistle! Blow the whistle!†yelled the San Bernardino Coach Joshua Brown from the sidelines as the Lancers threw everyone forward in the last minute of Pasadena’s away game against the San Bernardino Valley College Wolverines on Sept. 11.
Two up, two down for water polo team
Despite winning only two games of four at the Saddleback Women’s Water Polo Tournament on Sept. 7-8, the Lancers walked away with confidence for the rest of their season.
Men’s Soccer team scrapes by with a tie
At home for the first time this year, the men’s soccer team missed numerous second-half scoring chances to finish the game in a 1-1 tie with the Los Angeles Mission College Eagles at Robinson Stadium on Sept 4th.
A double win for the Lancers Volleyball team
A strong kick-off to the 2012 season continued for the Women’s Volleyball team as it triumphed in Friday’s game, beating both Cypress and Santa Barbara in three matches each.
Women’s soccer team rolls over the Roadrunners
The crowd at Robinson field enthusiastically cheered the Lancer soccer team in its third game of the season on Sept 7, when it beat College of the Desert 6 – 0.
Starting out strong the Lancers scored 3 goals within the first 40 minutes of the game.
Football team overwhelmed by penalties in second loss
“Obviously we expect to win every game,†Lancer Head Coach Fred Fimbres said after a 27-10 loss to Orange Coast College on Saturday.
