All across Los Angeles County, everywhere you go, there are bike paths and bike racks. Groups of riders, some quite large, can be seen, day and night, sharing the road with sedans and SUVs. Some ride for leisure, some for exercise, some out of necessity, but they all have one thing in common, and it has two wheels.
Badminton team has winning season
The all freshman women’s badminton team has won its fourth consecutive South Coast Conference title finishing the season with a record of 13-1, with one team member wining the state championship.
Legendary Swimming Coach Ballatore dies
Legendary PCC swimming coach Ron “Sticks” Ballatore died April 27 after a long battle with bone cancer in Gainesville, Fla. He was 71.
Campus hosts LA Sparks in international exhibition
PCC got a taste of professional, international basketball on May 5 when the school hosted the Los Angeles Sparks and the Chinese national team faced off in an exhibition game in the Hutto-Patterson gym. The Sparks won handily, 98-71, in a game where the Pasadena community witnessed an Olympic appetizer.
Baseball loses final game
The Lancer baseball team concluded its nightmare season with a 3-6 home loss to the visiting Warriors of El Camino on April 27.

At the PCC Swim Invitational where the swim team raised $3500 in their annual raffle, Lancer Cario Liu won first place on the men’s 200 Breaststroke.

The men’s baseball team suffered their worst shutout of the season April 3 at Fullerton College, falling 12-0 to the home team Hornets.
