A new member of the college’s Board of Trustees got her start as a PCC student.

After defeating Trustee Beth Wells-Miller in a hotly contested election for the Area 7 seat on the Board of Trustees, Trustee-elect Anthony Fellow appeared nothing short of confident during a recent interview.

Spirits were high at the first Veteran’s Appreciation event held by the Associated Students’ Student Services Committee and Veteran’s Club in Creveling Lounge.

Thirteen new Associate in Arts (AA) majors presented for consideration on Wednesday before the Board of Trustees were approved unanimously and added to the college’s curriculum.

The season ended on a cold night in Glendale. In the final game, Lancers kept tradition alive by defeating the Glendale Vaqueros 38-22 on Saturday. The Lancers have defeated the Vaqueros in 28 consecutive games.

The basketball season is upon us, and the men’s squad is looking to avenge last year’s snub of not getting a playoff spot by competing for the schools fifth state championship.

Men’s basketball attended the Ventura “We play hard” tournament Friday and Saturday. The team went 0-2, suffering a defeat at the hands of Bakersfield on Friday, 100-75, and on Saturday by Ventura, 88-82.

The performing arts and communications division hosted “Opera Scenes” at Harbeson Hall on Friday to showcase the students acting and singing in the event.
