Faculty union to fight elimination of winter session

The Faculty Association is planning to take legal action in response to the sudden cancellation of PCC’s winter session, which has resulted in conflicting reactions among students and staff. Talks of action are already underway just weeks after the Board of Trustees’ decision to cancel winter intersession in an effort to balance the projected deficit of $7.7 million for the upcoming fiscal year.

Putting the break in summer

Many PCC students will be taking the time left after summer school to relax and enjoy themselves.19-year-old business major Sean Cunningham plans to “kick it [and] chill” in Hawaii with his family and girlfriend. He hopes to spend most of his time at the beach, jet skiing, scuba diving or horseback riding.
