Lancers honored as Players of the Week

Share: Freshman quarterback Jett Even and sophomore linebacker Jalyn Williams were honored with SCFA NNL Player of the Week awards for their recent performances on the field. Williams was named Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Cerritos in week 5. Williams was also the recipient of the award last year for his efforts against Canyons in a 20-12 win. Share: The Lancers women’s soccer team came away with their fourth win in five games against El Camino on Tuesday at Robinson Stadium. The Lancers set the tempo for the game right away at kickoff, finding the back of the net in the first 10 minutes of the game with Alexis Acosta’s goal. Men’s basketball aims high with a freshman-filled team

Share: The men’s basketball team will enter the upcoming season with only a handful of players that have experience on the Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium’s hardwood floor. The Lancers will be without some key pieces of last season’s team. Festival on Skid Row is a feast for the soul

Share: Skid Row, which usually is only associated with homelessness and endless rows of tents, turned into a little oasis of art and community last weekend. The Los Angeles Poverty Department (LAPD) put on the sixth annual Festival for All Skid Row Artists in Gladys Park. The festival gives residents of Skid Row the chance to showcase their talents, which are mostly unseen due to their daily struggles.
