In a game fraught with personal injury, the women’s soccer team put up a good fight in the season opening game, hosting the LA Pierce College women’s soccer team at Robinson Stadium on Sept. 2. The Lancers lost 6-3, but the effort showed by the women was commendable.

The Lancers’ Cheerleading and Dance department held tryouts on May 24-27 in the W building.
Siria LoVett, cheerleader coach for nine years, encouraged new and returning cheerleaders to audition for the squad.
Although PCC has never had a competition squad, LoVett is hoping to build a squad to compete against other schools. She encourages the women to take a gymnastics class to learn how to tumble, perform handstands, and work on cartwheels.
Three to compete in ‘Armenian Olympics’
In a few months, three PCC athletes will travel abroad to compete in the 2011 Pan-Armenian Games in the Republic of Armenia.
Lancers’ athletics: Year in review
It was an up and down year for the Lancers with some teams finishing on top of PCC’s South Coast Conference, while others struggled and were unable to find their groove.
