Cadets Face Daily Inspections Before Duties

If you’ve ever seen a phalanx of cadets conducting exercises behind the T building by the automotive department, then you’ve probably witnessed a ‘Charles Watch’ inspection. Each weekday before both shifts, cadets perform drill inspection exercises in mornings and afternoons.

Construction to be Finished by June

With curiosity quickly brewing into frustration as the ongoing construction on campus begins to impede parking and reroute students coming onto campus, officials assure that the new facilities will be ready by June. Parking, however, will not get any better until then.

‘Boots to Books’ Class Sets Out to Reach Veterans

PCC is the second community college in the nation to offer a program for returning veterans. The Boots to Books night class, listed as Counseling 12, starts Wednesday and meets California State University general education requirements for personal growth and development.

Campus Computers Create Confusion

Finding desired classes and getting a decent parking spot were not the only problems that students and staff faced on the first day of spring. PCC students and staff were unable to access the pasadena.edu website on computers connected to the campus network due to high traffic and server problems.

Ex-Student’s Sanity To Determine Murder Sentencing

The trial continued Wednesday for former PCC student George Wood Pigman IV as witnesses for the defense appeared to testify to his mental state during the crime.Pigman was convicted of first-degree murder on Monday. The second phase of his trial is to determine if he was insane at the time he killed his girlfriend, Japanese exchange-student Eimi Yamada in May 2005.

Athletics Interim Dean Beverly Tate Under Fire

A “Vote of No Confidence” petition regarding Interim Dean/Athletic Director Beverly Tate, has been signed by 11 out of 21 full-time Kinesiology, Health and Athletics Division staff and faculty.According to the document, those who signed question Tate’s ability to lead the division.

Sophomore point guard Kinyada Johnson’s 35 points led the Lancers to a 69-57 win over the Chaffey College Panthers in the semifinals of the Southern California Regional Playoffs at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium on Friday night.

Errors Plague Baseball in Conference Opener
