Montana to play for the Lancers
Nate Montana, son of National Football Hall of Fame Quarterback Joe Montana, has left the University of Notre Dame and practicing with the PCC football team for the upcoming 2009 season. According to Head Coach James Kuk, Montana has been attending practice for more than a week and is currently competing for a starting position at quarterback along with returning sophomores Jonathan Troast and Nick Ponce.
Fires impact PCC community
Students, faculty and staff at PCC are trying to accommodate those members of the community affected by local fires. Some instructors have delayed dropping students who missed the first day of class due to the fires.
Task force unanimously recommends arming the campus police
A campus-wide task force has unanimously recommended that campus police be equipped with firearms, officials said.According to Lt. Brad Young of the PCC Police Department, who served as an advisor to the task force, the “Arming the Police” Task Force was persuaded by the evidence collected in the 14 months it took to create the report.
