Yik Yak finally cleans up its trash talking past
Share: The app that caused cyberbullying, bomb threats, and hate speech has officially announced their comeback to social media. Yik Yak is an app that sends messages anonymously. The app closed down in 2017 after being swamped with complaints regarding racism, discrimation and threats of violence. Follow:

Removal of winter intersession triggers transfer trouble
Share: PCC students are heading to neighboring community colleges in order to complete credits they would have taken during the now eliminated winter intersession. PCC panel: Recent AAPI hate crimes are ugly, but not new
Share: As hate crimes towards the Asian American and Pacific Islander community have risen across America, PCC held a panel with guest speakers from the AAPI community to honor their history in America as well as provide a deeper understanding of racism and hate crimes. Held in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the event titled “Asian American Resistance: 150 Years and Counting” highlighted the struggles and perseverance of the AAPI community, specifically recounting the prejudiced past of Los Angeles. For PCC community, Chauvin’s verdict is a building block for racial justice
Share: As the guilty verdict rang out three times through the Hennepin County Government Center in downtown Minneapolis, the 11 month pursuit of justice for police brutality victim George Floyd reached a degree of closure. Herstory: Pasadena tells women “we want you” in politics
Share: In the past decade more women than ever have ascended to positions of political leadership. In 2018, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won the Democratic primary for New York’s 14th Congressional District, becoming the youngest woman in history elected to Congress. In 2020, Kamala Harris became the first woman and the first woman of color to be elected Vice-President of the United States.
