Football allows 58 points in season’s first road loss
Though Lancers quarterback Cesar Hernandez accumulated 445 passing yards and four touchdowns, it wasn’t nearly enough as College of the Desert handed PCC its second loss of the season in a non-conference game in Palm Desert on Sept. 24.

Women’s soccer defeats Eagles, 3-0
Before tying its match against Oxnard College on Sept. 20, the women’s soccer team won against San Jacinto College on Sept. 16. The non-conference match ended with a PCC victory shut out of 3-0.
Water polo flounders in its first match
The women’s water polo team opened its 2011 season with a catastrophic 16-2 loss against the highly rated Chaffey College.
“I was surprised,” said Coach Terry Stoddard. “I thought it would be a close game. We played against a more experienced team.”
