Freshman guard Charrun Jones’ seven three pointers gave him a total of 101 on the season, breaking the PCC record of 96 previously held by 1990-91 Lancer freshmen Chris Jones in their 91-80 loss to the visiting Los Angeles City College Cubs Friday night at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

After having a win percentage of just over 25 during the last four seasons, and placing seventh in the South Coast Conference the last three seasons, Coach Evan O’Meara is hoping to turn things around for Lancer baseball in the 2009 spring season.

The PCC women’s softball team is hoping to better its 2008 record of 13-24 as it gears up for the 2009 campaign in the always challenging South Coast Conference.

The Lancer women’s basketball team lost a close battle against Los Angeles City College, as they fell 64-63, giving the Lancers their fourth loss of the season on Friday night.

According to a transaction bulletin dated Jan. 6 on Arena Football League 2’s (AF2) website, Phillip Hibbard,?a PCC freshman offensive lineman from last season, signed with the Kentucky Horsemen, a franchise of the league.

PCC’s women’s basketball team added its 16th straight win and second conference win with a 90-64 win over East L.A. College (10-11, 0-2) on Wednesday night.

Despite a late Husky rally in the second half, the Lancer Men’s basketball team held on to win 76-67 at East Los Angeles College (8-15, 0-2) on Wednesday night.
