The $787 billion stimulus bill signed into law by President Barack Obama includes an additional $13.9 billion provision that increases the amount of Pell Grant funding for students from low-income households.

Baseball Ends Losing Streak With Late Surge Over LACC

The PCC baseball team used a late game scoring rush in its 7-3 victory over Los Angeles City College on Tuesday, ending its 16-game losing streak in South Coast Conference play.The Lancers broke away from a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning when they scored four runs in a rare offensive burst.

PCC Badminton’s Lun Takes SCC Singles and Doubles Crown

Despite losing in the Southern California Team Championship on Wednesday, the Lancer’s women badminton team rallied in their individual matches to pick up two South Coast Conference titles on Friday.PCC’s top player Priscilla Lun, dominated her competition as she easily defeated East Los Angeles player Sandra Ouyang 21-2, 21-1 to win the SCC single’s title.

Nuntapramote Wins 200-Yard Butterfly State Title

Ending with yet another victory, sophomore Lancer swimmer Tai Nuntapramote brought a strong close to the season, as he became the state champion in the 200-yard butterfly at the CCCAA Championships held at Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach on Saturday. Nuntapramote won the title with a time of 1 minute, 51.
