Three second-year students from PCC’s dental laboratory program have earned scholarships to further pursue careers in dentistry.

The state champion PCC women’s basketball team began the defense of its title over the weekend at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium by winning the Hilton Garden Inn Classic, the annual season-opening tournament.

The men’s basketball team opened the 2009-2010 season with a win followed by a tough loss in overtime at the Clash of the Canyons tournament.

Starting the season with an impressive 14-0 record in South Coast Conference action, and an overall record of 20-1, the women’s volleyball team is ranked No. 3 in the state.
