Ever since the world first met Sakamoto as a member of the electronic trio Yellow Magic Orchestra, he routinely reinvented himself without losing sight of what made him an exciting and multifaceted talent. Last month, after his third fight against cancer, Ryuichi Sakamoto passed away at 71. When the news broke out, multiple publications and news outlets had …

On Dec. 14, 2022 eight KHA faculty members presented a vote of no confidence for Miller in a public comment delivered during the Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting by KHA professor and coach William Moore. “Dean Miller facilitates divisiveness and disunity in the division where good, productive and close relations used to exist,” Moore said …

Lancers will have a double with 17 runs, please!

Share: On Friday, the Pasadena City College softball team faced Compton College at Robinson Park in a doubleheader for what turned out to be both shut-out games combined with the mercy rule applied.  Pasadena came into the game with a 16-10 record but carried over the stinging loss against El Camino the day before and wanted to make up with a solid game back home. In his time as president, Donald Trump pissed off …

Illicitly manufactured fentanyl has become popular in the illegal drug market in the last half a decade due to its incredibly high potency and low cost, as well as its heroin-like effect. Fentanyl is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and …

Is time up for TikTok in the U.S.?

Share: As developments continue to arise in the potential ban of TikTok in the United States, PCC students and professors have a lot to say about the issue.  “I don’t want TikTok to go away, it’s a creative outlet for many people,” student Rosie Martinez said.  The threat to ban TikTok is not entirely news to Americans. In 2020, the Trump administration also threatened to ban the app. The Biden administration is demanding that Chinese shareholders sell their shares of TikTok or else ByteDance, the …
