Veterans Day celebrated with memorial service

Veterans of the past and present at PCC were honored with a memorial service in front of the Veterans Memorial Wall on Nov. 10.

President Mark Rocha, Veterans Club President Cameron White and special guest speaker Lt. Colonel Richard Bianchino, USMC (retired) spoke in honor of veterans.

Program aims to prevent crises before they happen

The Crisis Prevention and Response Team Committee is a new committee with goals to inform teachers on how to deal with difficult students, help those troubled students by offering them what ever services they may need, and most importantly, to keep PCC’s campus safe.

‘Kitty litter’ murder trial under way

Opening arguments in the case against Isaac Campbell, who has been in jail since 2007 for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Liya “Jessie” Lu, and sealing her body in a trashcan in a plastic bag filled with cat litter, began on Oct. 7. The trial had been continued and postponed for four years.

Injuries lead football team to tough loss

It ain’t easy being quarterback at PCC. Down to its fourth-string quarterback, the injury-riddled PCC squad suffered a 42-13 loss to Grossmont College on Nov. 5, after losing third-string quarterback Zeek Julien.

As technology advances, new cell phones keep coming out. With all the different types of phones available, it seems like iPhones and BlackBerrys have the biggest rivalry. On campus, it seems phone users prefer the iPhone.
