One of the biggest changes this semester is the appointment of acting college president Lisa Sugimoto. As a former Lancer, she is quite familiar with the school.

The Board of Trustees has reversed its July decision to cut PCC’s winter session, reinstating half of what is usually offered. Although a full winter session was deemed unaffordable, Acting Dean of Enrollment Management and Academic Support Allen Dooley explained that a partial winter session will be offered instead.

Starting college can be both exciting and scary. For the incoming freshman their experience will require some adjusting to, not just mentally but economically as well.

In a better attempt to comply with a law forbidding smoking within 20 feet of any public building, PCC has implemented four designated smoking areas to be used by students and faculty.
