Students Screen Short Films for Departing Artist-in-Residence
Eileen Cowin, this year’s artist-in-residence, ended her stay at PCC by selecting students from all around the art spectrum to produce a series of short videos. The finalized projects were screened inside the PCC Art Gallery last Thursday. A mixed crowd of students, professors and artists, including Cowin herself, filled the small gallery to watch the one-time public screening of the 11 final video projects.
All-Star Game Honors Sports Legend Jackie Robinson
PCC hosted a celebrity basketball game in the gymnasium on Saturday as part of the Jackie Robinson All-Star Weekend. The basketball game was one of a few events planned for the weekend to commemorate the late Robinson and his surviving family, as well as the reconstruction of Robinson Park, on North Fair Oaks Avenue.
