Running back Joshua Morgan, PCC’s leading rusher last season, has verbally committed to play next year at the University of Kentucky, according to PCC Acting Head Coach James Kuk.Morgan had been considering the University of Washington and Arizona State University, but verbally committed to Kentucky on Jan 30, according to Rivals.com.

Listed as a two-star recruit on JCFootball.com, Morgan ran for 1005 yards on 158 carries for the Lancers last season, along with 34 receptions for 342 yards.

According to Kuk, Kentucky is also interested in PCC’s quarterback Eldrin Jones, as a walk-on return specialist.

PCC’s other main offensive weapon, receiver Owen Dixon, is still undecided, but is considering multiple schools.

According to Kuk, Dixon’s list includes University of California-Berkeley, Arizona State and Bowling Green State University. JCFootball.com has Dixon’s choices also including Washington, Ohio University, Marshall University and the University of Akron. Kuk said Akron and Marshall have withdrawn their interest.

One Lancer who has already decided his destination for next season is center Craig Mobley, who has already enrolled at the University of San Diego, a Division III football school.

Several notable sophomore’s are still undecided, including cornerback Eugene Palmer, defensive tackle Zach Falldorf and wide receiver Titus Mack. Kuk said that all three are considering “mid-major” Division I programs.
