In an effort to promote the variety of cultures on campus, the Associated Students will hold an event titled “A Taste of the World” on Tuesday in the Creveling Lounge.The Cultural Diversity Committee is coordinating the event, which highlights different cultures present on campus.

The spotlight is on performances from musicians like Elle, an acoustic pop and soul artist who will sing in French. There will also be Malaysian dancers and ethnic desserts such as baklava and churros.

Professor of Anthropology Lauren Arenson, who teaches Cultural Anthropology will speak at the event.

The mission for the Committee is to recognize the diversity in the campus and break barriers by showcasing the various cultures on campus.

Campus clubs such as Alpha Gamma Sigma, MECHA, and TROPA will be present to extend a helping hand and explain their own cultural significance.

“I hope the people come together for this event and recognize the beautiful community at PCC,” said Karniouchina.
