With all the recent media attention Charlie Sheen has been getting, it appears that he is getting praised for acting violently, stupidly, and irresponsibly. He has been praised for acting a fool with the ruckus he is doing. Because he is a man, he thinks he is cool and can get away with things he has done.

He is not cool and not a good person to look up to.

But Sheen has had a disturbing history of violence against women. Because of his high celebrity status, it seems many have forgotten his troubled past.

In 1990, Sheen was engaged to actress Kelly Preston, and shot Preston in the arm, and, of course, said it was an accident.

No charges were filed and their engagement soon broke off.

He checked himself into rehab that same year, for the first time to treat alcohol addiction.

In 1995, Sheen was sued by a UCLA student who claimed that he struck her in the head for refusing to have sex with him.

Lucky for him, the charges were dropped and the case was settled out of court.

In 1996, Sheen was arrested when adult film star Brittany Ashland claimed Sheen threw her onto the kitchen floor, split her lip and threatened to kill her.

He pleaded no contest and was sentenced to two years’ probation and a $2,800 fine.

In 2005, actress and wife Denise Richards filed for divorce.

She claimed he threw furniture at her, threatened to kill her, and was granted a restraining order against him.

In 2009, wife Brooke Mueller called 9-1-1 claiming Sheen held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her on Christmas Day, while vacationing in Colorado.

In 2010, adult film star Capri Anderson claimed Sheen put his hands around her neck and threatened to kill her in a room at the Plaza Hotel.

The list goes on with Sheen troubles.

He was once the highest paid actor on TV for the hit sitcom “Two and a Half Men.”

Warner Brothers fired Sheen after canceling the remainder of the show’s season after Sheen went on radio rants against CBS and the creator of “Two and a Half Men” Chuck Lorre.

Sheen has recently joined twitter.

Tiger blood and winning are his favorite topics to tweet about.

He broke the Guinness World Record for reaching 1 million followers in the fastest time.

Now he is going across the country on a show called “The Violent Torpedo of Truth.”

It was reported that some of his shows sold out in minutes.

He has been booed, applauded, and received standing ovations from the audience.

It seems people cannot get enough of him.

Obviously Charlie Sheen has major issues to deal with.

From his history of violence against women, to alcoholism and drug abuse, many stints in rehab, he is receiving way too much praise from the media and his fans.

He should be encouraged to get personal help, not be applauded for his disturbing behavior.
