The men’s soccer team lost to East Los Angeles College on Tuesday at Robinson Stadium with a score of 6-3.

Before the end of the first half, the Lancer’s forward Gor Kirakosyan made a pass near the Lancer goal that was intercepted by David Farias and kicked in, making the score 3-0.

The second half of the game proved PCC’s ability to play on offense, the ball running back and forth across the field as both sides tried to advance for the goal.

After the start of the second half, Lancer goalie Ramiro Martinez miscalculated a kick for the goal, which left the net wide open and a score for Farias.

Kirakosyan used his opportunity from a penalty kick to score the Lancer’s first point of the game.

No more than 10 minutes later, Lancer Vahagn Manoyan passed to Kirakosyan, who shot the ball, which was redirected into the goal by Irving Rosales.

The Lancers had fallen behind when the Huskies’ Farias scored three goals and had two assists while Danny Suarez had two goals. The Huskies’ had the last goal of the game.

Kirakosyan then scored the last Lancer goal of the game with a pass from Ryosuke Tarui.

Kirakosyan is currently tied for fifth place on the list of career points and career goals, along with competing for most goals by a Lancer since 2006.

“I felt very good [about the game],” said Head Coach Edgar Manvelyan. “I was very happy in the second half because we played well and took advantage of a lot of opportunities…three good mistakes were gifts the Huskies took advantage of.” PCC’s record fell to 6-8-3 overall and 1-7-3 in Southern California Conference.

The Lancers play against El Camino College on Friday at 1 p.m. at Robinson Stadium.
